Pension Lawyer Fees in Ukraine

If you are considering hiring a pension lawyer, your situation is probably no longer straightforward. Perhaps the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) has refused to grant your pension, or your employment record book needs to be digitized. In either case, the natural question is: How much does it cost, and what exactly are you paying for?

At first glance, applying for a pension appears to be a simple administrative procedure. In reality, this is the stage where most problems arise, including pension refusals and the failure to recognize employment periods. We support our clients from collecting documents to obtaining a favorable decision: we review employment records, identify potential issues, prepare all necessary applications, and, when required, challenge unlawful refusals.

The cost of standard pension application assistance starts from UAH 10,000. Assistance with preferential pensions for teachers, healthcare professionals, employees working in hazardous conditions, and other special categories starts from UAH 15,000, as these cases require a detailed analysis of special occupational lists and institutions and, in many instances, court representation.

Pension recalculation is one of the most common reasons clients seek legal assistance. The Pension Fund does not always take into account every legal basis for increasing pension payments, such as legislative amendments, additional insurance contributions, or errors in the original calculation. We review the pension file, identify the legal grounds for recalculation, and prepare the necessary applications or court claims.

The cost of this service depends on the amount by which your pension may increase. The minimum fee for pension recalculation services is UAH 20,000. This pricing reflects the actual complexity of the work involved: the more complicated the case, the greater the amount of legal work required.

If the Pension Fund has failed to recognize certain periods of employment, the issue can often be resolved either through administrative proceedings or in court. We have extensive experience handling administrative disputes against the Pension Fund and understand how to build legal arguments that achieve results. Our litigation services include preparing the statement of claim, representing clients before all court instances, and supervising the enforcement of court judgments.

The cost of court representation is determined individually. Litigation involving military pensions starts from UAH 20,000. A separate category includes miners' pensions, which are technically complex and require specialized evidence regarding working conditions. Legal representation in such cases starts from UAH 45,000.

An attorney request is an official legal instrument used to obtain information from government authorities, institutions, and employers. It is indispensable when confirming employment history, working conditions, or obtaining archival documents that cannot be acquired by other means. The preparation of a single attorney request starts from UAH 5,000. Where analysis of the response and preparation of additional legal documents are also required, the fee starts from UAH 8,000.

If the information contained in your employment record book has not been entered into the electronic register of the Pension Fund, part of your employment history may effectively disappear when your pension is calculated. This issue is particularly common for people who worked before the 2000s or changed employers across different regions. We verify the accuracy of employment records, prepare the required applications, and assist with the digitization process. This service starts from UAH 5,000, while cases involving disputed or unclear employment records requiring additional proof start from UAH 10,000.

A pension lawyer is an investment in protecting the benefits you are legally entitled to receive. In many cases, the cost of legal services is recovered through the very first additional pension payments obtained after a successful recalculation or court decision.

The above fees are current as of May 2026.
